Plyometric exercises increase muscle power through rapid and powerful movements, i.e tossing a Medicine Ball at the Rebounder and catching it as it is quickly catapulted back.
The adjustable angle rebounder can be used as a plyometric ball return or as a trampoline.
It has a T-bar for upper extremity support when used as a trampoline. Returns ball
with speed, force and angle consistent with throw.
The Plyometric rebounder provides consistent plyometric training, ranging from slow response to quick, heavy response, with controlled power training in a variety of motions. It allows stabilization in safe and functional positions for the spine, trunk and extremities while improving dynamic rhythmic stabilization of the joint in training. The Plyometric rebounder is an environment for controlled proprioceptive training where joint position can be strategically monitored. The rebounder may be set at any angle for perfect and accurate ball response or it may be lowered to a flat surface for jogging or rebounding.
The Plyometric Rebounder
This exercise tool is one of my favorites. It allows the user to participate in one of the “old school” forms of physical fitness which is a full-body integrative holistic exercise. If you’ve read some of my other treatises you may know that what I’m referring to is tossing a medicine ball back and forth with a partner. This way of exercising is not only fun, it is non-repetitive, in that with each and every toss and catch of the ball you have the ability to do something different with your body.
This is a non-linear workout which is a structurally holistic exercise because the entire muscular and skeletal systems must work together in an integrated way, from one end to the other. Similar forms of exercise are rock climbing and treading water. Linear, repetitive exercises are things like running, cycling, and almost all of the gym machines.
Doing these posturally-damaging types of daily exercises will mess your body up good. Take it from me, I know, because I do Structural Release Myo-Fascial bodywork on these people for a living and I can tell you that those kinds of repetitive linear movements will build you some temporary Strength and Endurance, while in the meantime will be compressing and distorting your Muscle-Suit, and twisting and compromising the joints throughout your skeleton.
Using the Plyometric rebounder will give you a way to build Strength and Endurance with a minimum of detrimental effects that usually come with a traditional Strength Training Program. In the comfort of your own home you can get a phenomenal workout, using differently weighted balls, playing catch with yourself, the same way the Physical Fitness Experts in the old days used to do playing catch with each other with the Medicine Ball.
I highly recommend this Self-Maintenance Tool and know that you too will find it a piece of equipment for your Home Gym that you will get a huge amount of positive use and benefits from.
