Flax Cracker Recipe


5 cups Flax seeds (red and/or gold)
Any and/or all of the following re: availability/taste
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
1 cup raw sesame seeds
1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1 cup raw hemp seeds
Nutritional Yeast Flakes
Dr. Jensen’s Broth/Seasoning powder
Bragg’s Amino Acids liquid
Italian Seasoning/thanksgiving stuffing seasonings
Sun-dried tomatoes

>>> Mix together in a large bowl and add around 10 cups of water while stirring. The water amount will vary depending on what all you put in it. It wants to be stir-able, thick and not runny. You may want to add a bit more water after a few hours so it isn’t too solid. 

>>>Cover and sit in a warm place (not the fridge) overnight.

>>>In the morning, spoon it out onto your trays (use a Teflon-type sheet on the tray) about a quarter inch thick; score into squares with a butter knife (so they’ll break into pieces easier when dried)

>>>Put in your Dehydrator at 104 degrees for 24 hours, or until dry on top and bottom. After about 15 hours I sometimes take them out and flip them over for the remaining time.

>>>Store in zip-locks, but if they’re still damp at all do not seal the bag so they can continue to dry
>>>Eat, enjoy, and share with your friends!
